Browser Fingerprint Test Explained: What Our Scan Checks
What our free browser fingerprint test collects, how the server scores it, and how we handle your data. No cookies, IP stored only as a hash.
Our fingerprint test is free. It shows what a site can learn about your browser, and where your profile contradicts itself. This page lists what it collects and how it scores.
What the scan collects
| Area | What we read | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Navigator and UA-CH | User agent, Client Hints, platform, languages, hardware values | Must agree with each other and with the headers |
| Screen | Size, available size, color depth, pixel ratio | Must fit the claimed device |
| Intl | Timezone, locale, number and date formats | Must fit the IP location and languages |
| Canvas | Render hash, and a second render for stability | Real devices give the same hash each time |
| WebGL and WebGPU | Vendor, renderer, parameters, limits | Must fit the claimed GPU and OS |
| Audio | Audio processing hash | Depends on the real audio stack |
| Fonts | Installed fonts and text metrics | Font sets differ by OS |
| Codecs and DRM | Media and DRM support | Differ by browser, OS and build |
| Permissions | Permission states | Default states differ by browser |
| WebRTC | Local and public candidates | Can leak a real IP behind a proxy |
| Workers and iframes | The same values from other scopes | Must match the main page |
| Native integrity | toString, descriptors, prototypes |
Shows JavaScript patches |
| TLS and HTTP | Handshake and header data at the edge | Must match the claimed browser |
| IP, ASN, timezone | Network owner and location | Datacenter ranges and timezone gaps are signals |
How scoring works
Scoring runs on the server. The page sends raw values and gets the verdict back. The scoring rules are not in the page.
The score is coverage-aware. When a check cannot run, for example because an API is missing in your browser, we do not count it as a pass or a fail. We report it as not covered, and the score reflects how much was measured.
The model is versioned. Each result shows the model version that scored it. When we add checks or change weights, old results keep their version, so you can compare like with like.
What a good result looks like
Every browser has a fingerprint, so the goal is consistency, not having none. What gives a profile away is a contradiction: a Windows user agent with macOS fonts, a worker that reports other values than the page, a canvas hash that changes on each read, or a timezone that does not fit the IP.
Privacy
- No cookies. The scan sets none.
- Your IP is stored only as a hash.
Use it to compare tools
Run the same proxy through two antidetect browsers and compare the results. The scan checks the same layers we describe in how websites detect antidetect browsers. Our rankings weight the fingerprint engine at 22% for this reason. See /methodology for how the ranking itself is built.
